On Architecture is a design studio dedicated to the pursuit of beauty and craft. With an emphasis on service, we work as agents for our clients to achieve solutions that fit and inspire. We design through a lens of curiosity and open collaboration to understand the project brief and deliver authentic results. Our design methodology is centered around a focused iterative process and serious fun. We design beautiful objects, comfortable rooms, robust buildings, and liveable urban spaces.
Paul Koopman Architect AIBC
Paul’s practice encompasses a rich variety of scales and typologies, spanning public art installations, residential projects, and civic infrastructure such as provincial courthouses. Guided by strong attention to detail and creative rigor, he engages deeply with users and stakeholders to deliver tailored, highly functional environments. Educated at the University of Waterloo (B.E.S., M.Arch), Paul registered as an architect in 2008 and subsequently established Paul Koopman Architect in 2011.
Jessica Yarish Architect AIBC
Over 20+ years as a design professional, Jessica has built a diverse portfolio ranging from town masterplanning, urban high-rise buildings, community spaces, residential buildings, interiors, and exhibition design-build. Her education at the University of British Columbia (B.Ends) and the University of Oregon (M.Arch) formed the basis for an inter-disciplinary approach that is rooted in the site and centered on the users. Jessica values working collaboratively with clients and consultants to realize design solutions that are efficient, elegant, and joyful.
